A Year in Review: Pausing to Reflect, Cherish, and Learn

December is an ideal time to pause and reflect on the ups and downs of the past year.

 

Introduction:

As the year draws to a close, it’s a natural inclination to take a moment to reflect on the journey we’ve traveled. The past twelve months have been filled with highs and lows, challenges and triumphs. Now is the time to pause, take stock, and store away the good memories while embracing the profound lessons that have shaped our experiences.

1. Cherishing the Highlights:

Begin your reflection by savouring the highlights of the year. Identify moments of joy, achievement, and connection. These memories are the gems that illuminate the tapestry of your life, and consciously cherishing them enhances their lasting impact.

2. Acknowledge the Challenges:

Reflecting doesn’t only involve celebrating successes but also acknowledging challenges. What hurdles did you overcome? What lessons did adversity impart? Recognising these struggles is a important testament to your resilience and growth.

3. Store the Good Memories:

As you reflect, actively store away the good memories. Visualise them as treasures locked away in a chest, ready to be revisited whenever needed. Whether it’s a shared laugh, a personal achievement, or a moment of quiet contentment, these memories serve as beacons of positivity and constant reminders of the good things in your life.

4. Learnings:

Every experience, even the seemingly mundane, carries a lesson. What have you learned about yourself, your relationships, and the world around you? Extracting these learnings from your experiences is a valuable step toward personal growth and development. Taking onboard these learnings support us to move forward away from repeating the same mistakes.

5. Express Gratitude:

Cultivate a spirit of gratitude for the lessons, the joys and even the challenges. Gratitude is a powerful force that amplifies positive emotions and fosters a mindset of abundance.

6. Set Intentions for the Future:

Reflecting isn’t just about the past; it’s a bridge to the future. Consider what intentions you want to set for the coming year. How can you build on your experiences to create a more fulfilling and purposeful life?

7. Celebrate Personal Growth:

Finally, celebrate the growth you’ve undergone. Reflect on the person you were at the beginning of the year and compare it to the person you are now. Acknowledge your evolution, both in terms of strengths gained and challenges conquered. See how far you have come along your path and recognise that it may not have been exactly as you had planned, however, it has brought you closer to where you need to be.

Conclusion:

As you embark on this reflective journey, remember that every experience, whether joyous or challenging, contributes to the rich tapestry of your life. Take the time to store away the good memories, glean insights from your learnings, and step into the new year with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit eager for growth.

Clearing Negative Energy


Beware Energy Vampires,
they are often so empty inside
they suck the life force from you. 

Taking Care of Your Energy Systems

If you are an EMPATH or HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON (HSP), I am sure you will have felt drained being with certain people. They literally suck the energy from you – the energy vampires. Alternatively, you may be in a place filled with people and you absorb the energy, which may be a lot of negative emotional energy.

Either way, you need to learn to clear and cleanse your mind/body/soul energy systems to restore balance and recharge your system with positive energy to keep your energy flowing.

I am pleased to share with you that as an Empath, I now understand what is happening and have a range of simple practices to clear the negative and recharge with lovely positive energy.

 

Recognising when you feel drained or you have absorbed other negative energies is the first step to taking action to restore balance.

Learning to clear negative energy will
shift blockages and allow your energy systems to flow
and boost your health and well-being.

Here are some of my favourite ways to CLEAR and CLEANSE:

 

  • GROUNDING:
    Stand on grass in your bare feet and imagine roots growing down into mother earth (Gaia) and beautiful earth energy flowing into your body, clearing away unwanted blocks.

 

  • MEDITATION:
    Imagine a wonderful white (or golden) light flowing down from the Cosmos into your CROWN CHAKRA and filling every cells of your body with cleansing and healing light.

 

  • EPSOM SALTS BATH:
    A relaxing bath filled with Epsom Salts is a great way to remove toxins and negative energy, while allowing your mind and body to relax.

 

  • CRYSTALS:
    Obsidian will help to absorb negative energies and protect you.
    Citrine is a powerful energy cleanser and transmutes negative energies.
    Amethyst will clear negative emotions and restore peace and calm.

 

  •  SOUND HEALING:
    Solfeggio frequency 417 Hz will cleanse any trapped energies in your body. (There are a lot of options on YouTube to chose from.)

 

  • SUNLIGHT :
    Spending time outside in the sun, and nature, will ‘burn’ away the ‘bad’ energies, while nature will replenish with ‘good’. Have your tried ‘Forest Bathing’?

 

  • SEA SWIM:
    Taking a dip in the sea is another way to ground and connect with nature, while at the same time it will wash away ‘stale/trapped’ energies. Even just being by the sea, or clean flowing water, will help to clear negative ions. 

Your health, vitality and well-being are governed by your mind/body/soul energy systems, so it is vital that you learn to care of them. Remember – YOU ARE ENERGY!

Recognising when you have been energetically drained by others, or taken on other people’s negative emotions, is an important first step to healing through CLEARING and CLEANSING.

Fear

Of all the liars in the world,

What is Fear?

Fear is the an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm.

FEAR is a perceived as an negative emotion, however, going back to primitive ‘man’, it had a role of keeping us alive. It was an alert mechanism to any possible threat of danger, all in an effort to keep us alive by kicking in hormones to get the body ready to run or to fight back. This is known as ‘Fight or Flight’ mode and unfortunately in today’s world this alert mechanism recognises may ‘possible threats’ and kicks in. When this happens it keeps pumping stress hormones into our bodies and causing havoc with our minds and well-being.

Alas, following the pandemic and the negative reporting constantly in the media about wars, disasters and global crisis, many people are spiralling down into ‘fear’.  Empaths/Highly Sensitive People, such as myself, feel this collective fear growing and it is not good for the planet and humanity. When people fear, their behaviours can become aggressive (fight mode) in an effort to protect themselves.

Things need to change
and the only thing
you can change
is you.

Don’t buy into the fear mongering media. Turn off the news and tune into your own well-being by doing things your enjoy.

For example, something I find that really helps me is to spend time in Nature. It is extremely healing and will support raising your vibrational energy, which is key for spiritual growth and development. The more you lift yourself out of the ‘fear’, the more you can work on yourself and reconnecting with your soul – this has the wonderful knock-on effect of making you feel safer and your ‘positive’ energy will ripple out to the people you connect with.
